Xfinity Internet is no longer working properly

Xfinity Internet appears to be having an outage with multiple users reporting being unable to get online.

Users reported that their internet connections stopped working on Tuesday morning local time.

The problems affected many people, many of them in the Bay Area, LA, Seattle, and New York and New Jersey, according to Down Detector tracking website. But the problems also seemed to be more prevalent.

Xfinity representatives referred affected users to its status page, which includes a card to check for local outages and the option to check the status of a connection. It also provides tips, including restarting the modem and cable boxes, and making sure they are plugged in to try to connect.

However, several customers said that the internet problems prevented them from accessing this page as usual and that they had difficulty reaching Xfinity’s support hotlines.

The problems emerged only hours after another Bay Area outage late Monday evening, although there is no evidence that they are necessarily linked.
