A number of UK ISPs appeared to be affected by disruption Thursday morning, including BT, Three, EE and Virgin that were believed to be affected.
The DownDetector website health monitor registered thousands of reports from users complaining of connectivity issues.
Three customers started reporting problems at approximately 5:48 p.m. GMT, with others reporting problems at approximately 8:00 a.m. when the business day began.
“We are currently having technical issues with some of the calls,” Three said in a statement posted on Twitter. “Please accept our apologies if this affects you, our engineers are working hard to fix the problem. Check back here for updates. “
The company has meanwhile informed its customers that its services are “back in service” and apologized for the disruption.
BT and EE services appeared to be suffering around 11am, with some users struggling to access their email or My EE.
Virgin customers are believed to have had issues too, but like Three’s, they now appear to be fixed.
