Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed Noni Madueke’s move to Chelsea.
This after it was admitted PSV Eindhoven had no choice but to accept the Blues’ “solid” offer.
Madueke, 20, becomes Chelsea’s SIXTH signing of the January window after she flew to London yesterday for a medical.
The exciting winger is set to cost £35m just days after the Blues signed Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for an initial £62m.
And PSV boss Van Nistelrooy admits that while he’s sad to see Madueke gone, Chelsea’s offer made sense for all sides.
The ex-Manchester United striker said: “It’s a mix of emotions.
“We lose a good player with his departure. There was no turning back and there was solid financial compensation.
“I can understand the importance of the club. Given the circumstances and the financial compensation, we decided to sell it.”
