A TIKTOKER tried a shaving hack using a Walmart product and was surprised by the result.
Alyssa Marie Gray, who goes by the name @alyssamariegray on the app, tried the “Magic” shaving powder she said she got at Walmart for $1.87 and her legs were “so smooth.”
The powder was marketed on Walmart’s website for $2.77[/caption]
Gray waited 5-7 minutes before removing the powder[/caption]
Gray began the video by using a teaspoon to scoop the powder into a clear bowl.
After she began stirring the power with water, Gray said she learned that the less water you use, “the better.”
“It was really watery the first time and I wasted a lot of powder,” she said.
However, Gray was encouraged by the mixture when she heard it was better than other generic hair removal products.

She was also informed that you will not get razor bumps with the mixture and since it is only a powder there is no chance of cutting yourself while shaving.
Gray warned viewers that she let her hair grow “quite far.”
She then lathered several layers of the mixture onto her legs and waited 5-7 minutes (until the mixture was dry) to remove it.
Afterward, her legs were “super smooth.”

Since a lot of “dead skin was peeling off,” she exfoliated with a coffee-scented scrub.
In the caption for her video, Gray noted that the powder works “anywhere.”
The powder, officially dubbed “SoftSheen-Carson Magic Fragrant Shaving Powder, Razorless Shaving for Coarse Textured Beards,” currently retails for $2.77 at Walmart.
The shop website describes it as “razorless shaving powder…formulated for black men to stop razor bumps.”
They say it “offers a clean, razorless shave that lasts up to 4 days.”
They advise mixing it with water, just like Gray did.
