THE Chase fans were furious after ITV canceled tonight’s episode of the show.

The program, hosted by Bradley Walsh, airs weekdays at 5pm on the main commercial channel.

Tonight, however, it was replaced by coverage of that year’s FIFA World Cup.

Tonight’s game is Portugal vs. Ghana – and kick-off is at 4pm.

The Chase lovers are devastated that they’re not getting their daily dose of the game show.

Many used Twitter to vent.

One tweeted: “It’s great for you footballers and all but it’s really messing up my ability to watch The Chase.”

Another wrote while watching the game: “They could have shown the chase instead.”

Meanwhile, a third opted to tune in to BBC Two to watch Pointless, tweeting: “Bores me rigid.

It comes after The Chase viewers were seriously distracted after a “rival game show host” appeared on the show.

Fans were shocked when it was revealed The Weakest Link and Countdown presenter Anne Robinson had turned up to appear on their screens.

Rachel, an English teacher, was the first to get up, leaving fans of the show down for more than one reason.

People were quick to notice that the teacher looked like the spitting image of controversial former game show host Anne Robinson.

Taking to Twitter, one user laughed: “Anne Robinson is fine after leaving Countdown #TheChase.”

Another agreed, adding: “She’s like a young Anne Robinson, even though #TheChase.”
