ECUADOR meet Senegal at the bottom of Group A with a chance of one team progressing and the other going home.

The Netherlands are currently tied with Ecuador on four points, with Senegal just behind on three points.

Louis van Gaal’s side meet a weak Qatari team who are already eliminated and therefore likely to win – this means that this clash has a play-off feel.

Ecuador were highly acclaimed for their compact style and technical players, with star striker Enner Valencia scoring for fun.

The Lions are missing their talisman Sadio Mane but remain a team of quality and confidence after winning the last Africa Cup of Nations.

SunSport takes a look at what to expect from Ecuador vs Senegal, including our result prediction.

Ecuador: They could do without captain and World Cup goalscorer Valenica after he was stretchered during their last game.

Manager Gustavo Alfaro stressed his importance to the team but gave no further indication that he was unsure of his fitness and did not rule out that he might start, come off the bench or be unavailable at all.

Senegal: There are no new injury worries for Senegal – Mane is of course not in the squad due to injury.

Ecuador: Enner Valencia will be the key player when he is fit. But it’s worth keeping an eye on Moises Caicedo.

Energetic and tough in tackles, the Brighton midfielder keeps the side going.

Senegal: Boulaye Dia scored against Qatar and is hard at work in attack.

He has to be taken care of by fast wingers Ismalia Sarr and Krepin Diatta. Both can create something out of nothing with their direct style.
