National coach Hansi Flick changed the DFB team against North Macedonia compared to the 2-1 against Romania to a total of five positions. Captain Manuel Neuer returns to goal after an injury break.

The German national team wants to take the final step towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller. Captain Neuer is guarding the gate in Skopje against North Macedonia (8.45 p.m. / RTL) after having overcome adductor problems. In contrast to the win against Romania (2-1), Müller moves into the starting line-up for Marco Reus.

Antonio Rüdiger is not available due to his back problems. For him, Thilo Kehrer moves to the side of Niklas Süle in central defense. The back four is completed by Lukas Klostermann (right) and David Raum (left). As expected, national coach Hansi Flick trusts Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka on the double six. Müller is flanked in the ten position by Serge Gnabry and Kai Havertz. The only tip is Timo Werner.

With a win, the DFB selection would have bought their World Cup ticket prematurely if Armenia did not win in Romania at the same time.

The German line-up: 1 Neuer – 16 Klostermann, 15 Süle, 5 Kehrer, 21 Raum – 6 Kimmich, 8 Goretzka – 10 Gnabry, 13 Müller, 7 Havertz – 9 Werner. – Trainer: Flick
