Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s tight end Rob Gronkowski showed his gratitude in true Gronk style to quarterback Tom Brady for helping him make some extra cash.

Brady fought his way back into the games on Sunday, January 9, against Carolina, a 41:17 blowout from the Bucs to get Gronkowski another catch for a $ 500,000 bonus. Brady’s lobbying to get back inside was captured on video during the broadcast and went viral.

Gronkowski made a total of $ 1 million in incentives on Sunday when he hit 55 receptions and 802 yards for the season. He told reporters on Sunday that he would like to take some teammates, but without Brady, out to dinner to celebrate.

“I have to bring out all the tight ends for dinner and a couple of quarterbacks. I’m not bringing Tom, I bring the backup quarterbacks for dinner and all that good stuff, ”Gronkowski said jokingly.

Brady threw Gronkowski the banter during the “Let’s Go!” Podcast on Monday January 10th.

“That’s fine, I know what he’s eating,” Brady told host Jim Gray. “Let’s just say it doesn’t conform to the guidelines of TB12.”

Brady said he’ll take linemen out to dinner instead.

“I’m going to take my linemen off because these guys have been bunching up all year. Maybe I’ll take them to Morton’s and get them a nice steak because the boys deserve it. These guys had a damn good year. Tristan (Wirfs), Alex Cappa, (Ryan) Jensen, Donnie (Smith) and Ali Marpet, man, these guys got together, ”Brady told Gray. “Gronk can have dinner with all of its tight ends. I go out with the O-linemen. I’m sorry Gronk, I’ll miss you. Just make sure you’re not out too late. “

Brady didn’t just rip Gronkowski during Monday’s podcast. The Bucs quarterback also praised his longtime teammate.

“He’s amazing, I mean what he’s done this year,” Brady told Gray. “He’s just an amazing player, he’s a great team-mate and I think what he does every day to prepare is what blows my mind. I think he’s the best tight end in NFL history. What he does in the running game, in the passing game, the kind of teammate he is, he’s amazing. “

Brady noted that other NFL teams’ endeavors are a sign of Gronkowski’s greatness.

“Every year someone tries to find the next Rob Gronkowski, and that’s a very, very flattering proposition for someone. All Boy Scouts want to say, ‘This guy is going to be the next Rob Gronkowski.’ And I always say, ‘No, there’s only one Rob Gronkowski,’ ”Brady told Gray.

Given the uncertainty surrounding recipients over the past month, Gronkowski has emerged as the man of choice in back-to-back games for the Bucs.

“Whenever Gronk is in there, he’s an eye-catcher,” Bucs head coach Bruce Arians told the media on Monday.

Gronkowski led the team in receptions and yards for the last two games. He posted seven receptions for a season high of 137 yards against the Panthers. He counted seven catches and 115 yards the previous week against the New York Jets on Jan. 2.

There have been no touchdowns between Gronkowski and Brady lately. They last met on December 5 against Atlanta for a touchdown. Gronkowski has scored six touchdown catches this season.
