Jet’s pass catcher shoots Zach Wilson with a viral post

New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was lit like a Christmas tree for his performance against the New England Patriots this week.

Former players, television analysts and more have poked fun at Wilson’s abysmal performance. Hell, even one of his own teammates has seemingly thrown some shade on social media.

Jets pass catcher Elijah Moore took to Instagram with one cryptic post that didn’t have a caption and didn’t need one. It was a still of Moore trying to throw a soccer ball during the game:

The timing of the post on Moore’s Instagram coincided with head coach Robert Saleh’s announcement that Wilson is not guaranteed to be the starting quarterback this week against the Chicago Bears.

Saleh said “everything is on the table,” and when asked who would take Wilson’s place if he was benched, he replied “anyone is” an option. Apparently, that includes Moore.

When Moore initially reclaimed his trade on Oct. 20, he was frustrated with its lack of use and role. However, sources say Moore was also frustrated behind the scenes with Wilson as his quarterback.

This subtle shot on Instagram probably doesn’t kill those rumors of an apparent beef between the two players.

Saleh did not specify who gets a shot at the quarterback if Wilson is benched. The expectation is that Mike White would get this opportunity after being promoted to QB2 earlier this year.

NYJ Mike said, “Is Elijah Moore kidding me?”

Forgive my taking put simply“this league” in response to what Moore posted following the release of the Jets QB news on Monday, November 21st.

Elijah Moore was dubbed a “super villain” for this post by a Twitter user.

After weeks of inactivity, Moore finally worked his way back onto the offense. The former Ole Miss product had two receptions for 17 yards on four goals. A massive improvement over the volume he’s received over the last month.

However, many Jets fans were upset with how the game ended. With just five seconds left, Moore caught the recoil from the New England Patriots. He continued to run around, wasting the remaining time left and casually ran out.

It was an incredibly bizarre scenario that somehow perfectly summed up the season so far for the once-promising playmaker.

NYJ Matt called Moore “a complete jerk” for his late-game decision making.

Now you might be wondering how likely it is that the Jets will find a way to win this game with the time left in the game. I’d counter by saying we’ll never know as he messed up the remaining time in the game.

Also, I would like to point out the unlikely week 2 road trip against the Cleveland Browns. All odds were against the Jets in this game, but somehow they overcame it all to an insane win.
