Schalke 04 is taking the next step towards full utilization of its home stadium. From the next home game against Dynamo Dresden, the second division will again receive more than 55,000 spectators.
Second division Schalke 04 has significantly increased the capacity of the Veltins Arena in the upcoming home game. Against Dynamo Dresden (October 23, from 8.30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker), the Royal Blues want to let 56,617 spectators into the arena.
Most recently, the Gelsenkirchen team welcomed 26,546 fans in the arena against FC Ingolstadt. Although significantly more spectators would have been allowed, due to the short-term nature of the new Corona Protection Ordinance, no more visitors could take a seat in the Veltins-Arena.
The season tickets for Schalke are now activated again. The Corona Protection Ordinance also allows standing room to be reintroduced, albeit to a reduced extent, wrote S04 on the homepage.
