The Atlanta Falcons added some depth to the safety position on Tuesday, September 20 by signing Jovante Moffatt to the practice team.
Moffatt originally signed with the Cleveland Browns after the 2020 NFL Draft from Middle Tennessee State. Over the past two seasons, the 25-year-old safety has logged seven total tackles (four solo) plus two tackles with special teams in 14 games for Cleveland.
Moffatt’s signing brings the Falcons back to 16 players on the team’s practice squad.
After losing back-to-back games in Weeks 1 and 2, the Falcons will look to book their first win against the Seattle Seahawks for their Week 3 matchup.
