The Boston Celtics continue to get bad news. It started with Danilo Gallinari suffering a non-contact knee injury that turned out to be a cruciate ligament tear. It was then revealed that Robert Williams III would be out for four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. Now head coach Ime Udoka could also be out for a while.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, “Udoka faces possible disciplinary action – including a substantial suspension – for an unspecified violation of organizational policies. Discussions are ongoing within the Celtics about a final decision.”

Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe later corroborated the report, saying Udoka broke team rules.

MassLive’s Brian Robb also confirmed the report.

So far, no details have been released about which rule Udoka broke.
