For a team that is 5-0 and remains the only undefeated team in the NFL, it’s not peach and cream for the Arizona Cardinals right now.
On October 13, the team announced that pass rusher Chandler Jones tested positive for COVID-19 and Rodney Hudson Anchor Center with a rib injury.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano says two unnamed people in the Cardinals organization have now tested positive for COVID-19 after linebacker Chandler Jones was put on the reserve / COVID list this week.
Graziano also says that since the team has three positive points, another positive would put them in intense protocols. This would result in the entire organization going through daily testing, more masking and restrictions in their facilities, and indoor practicing.
Since Jones is vaccinated, he needs two negative tests 24 hours apart and with no symptoms for 48 hours. Coach Kliff Kingsbury told the media on October 13th that Jones was experiencing symptoms.
The Cardinals lead the league on COVID-19 cases. According to AllCardinals’ Howard Balzer, 18 players have landed on the COVID list, with three players in Andy Isabella, Justin Pugh and Darrell Daniels twice.
