TSG Hoffenheim definitely imagined the Bundesliga season to be different. Even striker Andrej Kramaric has not been able to meet expectations so far. Now he will probably be out against RB Leipzig.
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is worried about the use of goal scorer Andrej Kramaric before the game against RB Leipzig. The 30-year-old sustained a head injury in Croatia’s 1-0 win against Russia, as coach Sebastian Hoeneß said on Thursday. “His head hit another player and was probably passed out for a short time,” said Hoeneß. “From the TV pictures it was clear that a certain protocol had to be worked through, that we had to be careful. He also has a hematoma.”
But it was “nothing dramatic,” said the TSG coach before the Kraichgauer’s Bundesliga game on Saturday (15.30, in the live ticker on t-online) against the fifth in the table. Kramaric played through in Split despite the incident, the team of the vice world champions secured the World Cup ticket for Qatar 2022 with the success.
After eleven Bundesliga match days, TSG Hoffenheim are tenth in the table. In a season without international competition that is not enough for the high demands of the Kraichgauer. After 20 goals in the 2020/2021 season and 12 goals in 2019/2020, things are not going well for Kramaric either. The Croatian has played in every game so far, but has only scored two goals.
