During the first quarter, quarterback Josh Allen appeared to be in complete control, hitting three first downs before hitting running back Matt Breida with a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Not only did that game mark the first time Buffalo scored on his very first drive of the game since taking on the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this season, Per Syracuse.com’s Matt Parrino, but it was Breida’s first touchdown since joining the Bills.

Immediately after the 26-year-old running back scored a goal, Bill’s guard Jon Feliciano was who. create an injured reserve after straining a calf against the Miami Dolphins, tweeted a strong NSFW message to his teammate.

“LET’S GO!!!” Feliciano tweeted. @mattbreida my [expletive emojis] DAWG !!! ”

That early result was exactly what the Bills needed after their offensive collapse against the Jaguars. Buffalo had 9 drives last week and none of them brought a touchdown.

Even before the 2021 NFL season, the Bills’ biggest concern was their poor running game. If the team’s quarterback is the second best rusher so far this season, there is clearly an ongoing problem with the backcourt.

“I don’t think it’s only been the last couple of games; Start with the first game (against Pittsburgh). Check out this movie, ”said McDermott. “Especially at the end of the season back to last year. So yeah, here we are. I thought we were on. I thought we had made progress in this area.

“As far as football is concerned, you have to at least run the risk of being a two-dimensional team,” said McDermott after the Jacksonville defeat. “And I think we saw that at the beginning of the season. We saw it again (Sunday). This is not a healthy place. “

The starters Devin Singletary and Zack Moss are still very unproductive. Together, they rushed 182 yards and averaged 3.37 per try, as reported by Democrat and Chronicle.

Breida signed as a free agent with the Bills that summer, but was only active for the first two games of the season prior to the game against the Jets. Before Sunday he only tallied 12 snaps against the Steelers and Dolphins and says four touches for four yards.

However, Allen is a huge Breida fan and was confident he could move up in week 10.

“He’s as constant as anyone else on this team, the same attitude every day. Obviously, he wants to be in the field like everyone else. I expect him if he this week, next week whenever he gets the chance to move up and do a few games for us because he’s a damn athlete, he has a breakneck speed and he can do a lot different things for us US.”
