Is Chicago Bears Wide Receiver’s Allen Robinson dropping clues like breadcrumbs?

He may be. He might also show love to some of his favorite quarterbacks. In an appearance on October 9 on The Keyshawn, JWill & Max Show, the bear wideout, who plays under Franchise Tag this season, spoke of his recent lack of negotiation with the Bears. Robinson noted that his focus was not on the past or a new deal, but on the present and a solid 2021 season. He’s starting a bit slow so far, catching 17 passes on 29 targets for 181 yards and a touchdown. However, those numbers are likely to rise soon as Justin Fields was named a starter.

“I think I’m a pretty versatile player,” Robinson told co-hosts Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams and Max Kellerman. “I kind of built my game on that because I’m versatile and able to play and adapt to the quarterback or the situation.”

However, when asked what his favorite QBs in the league were, A-Rob may have given some pointers as to where he’d like to play if the Bears didn’t re-sign him on the deal he feels he is worth it.

When asked who his favorite quarterbacks in the league were, Robinson said the following:

“We have a lot of good quarterbacks in this league. If you sit back and watch football on Sundays, you see Tom execute Brady, you see Matt Stafford execute, Aaron Rodgers. When you see a lot of guys – Kyler Murray, just a lot of good quarterbacks playing really good football. You know, I think the league is also developing where a lot of the younger quarterbacks are doing now. “

It’s interesting that three of these QBs (Brady, Rodgers, and Murray) could potentially lose all of their top targets through the free agency next season. Christian Kirk, Davante Adams and Chris Godwin will be free agents like Robinson and could all potentially switch teams and leave a vacancy in the reception room. The Rams are a less likely contender, with Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Van Jefferson on board.

Again, A-Rob could only have named his favorite QBs, but he’s also savvy and could have left a few pointers for others.

Robinson is an unreserved free agent in 2022, and the Bears have an option to sign him again. He has said several times that he would be open to returning and that it will ultimately be up to the bears – and he is not wrong.

When asked if he was frustrated with his lack of goals this season, Robinson said the following:

“It’s not frustration. It’s outside of things that I can control, you know As a player in this league, of course, I want to be as productive as possible, generally for the sake of the offensive, for the sake of this team. I think the main thing is that as a player you are not really frustrated with things, people or the like, but maybe only because you are not able to make a contribution that you want. For me it was of course a certain amount of frustration, but I would say it was a blanket insult. “

He then worked it out.

“As for the things that we wanted to achieve, it was an up and down. We want to get better, of course. We want to continue to improve consistently. I think that’s where the frustration lies all along the line, which I think is good, you see? I think if you’ve had players who weren’t frustrated with some things or like we’ve played for the past four weeks, you have a problem. But I think based on what has been going on, with the frustration comes a correction. “

The Bears have switched play callers from head coach Matt Nagy to OC Bill Lazor in the past few weeks, and have named Fields as a starter for the past few weeks, so the team has tried to correct and fix its offensive issues. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes, but this could very well be Robinson’s final season in the Windy City.
