A miss-shooting archer will want to continue practicing in a safer environment after accidentally shooting a woman in the face with a massive 28-inch arrow from his long bow
A woman was shot in the face by a miss-shooting archer who stuck a 28-inch arrow through her cheek.
Paramedics had to call the fire department to rescue the longbow’s victim because the arrow was so tough it required special equipment to take it out.
The unnamed patient was filmed receiving treatment at a hospital in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, northwest China, with the arrow prominently protruding on either side of her face.
When the middle-aged woman was hospitalized, she couldn’t even get a full CT scan because the arrow was so long she couldn’t fit inside.
Luckily, firefighters were on hand to help, with heavy-duty bolt cutters, remove the inch-thick steel arrow shaft that penetrated just below her right eye.
A shocking snap of the victim on a hospital bed shows the arrowhead getting close to her temple, which almost certainly would have ended in worse circumstances.
According to local reports, the woman was walking in a public area when she was accidentally hit by a man practicing his archery skills, which clearly leaves a lot to be desired.
At the hospital, a firefighter was filmed holding the dart steady while his colleagues cut the other end, causing the woman to squeal and wince in excruciating pain.
Police have launched an investigation into the dramatic incident, but in China, bows and arrows are considered sports equipment and are not regulated for recreational use.

A firefighter involved in the rescue anonymously told local media: “I hope that bow and arrow enthusiasts will avoid public places when practicing archery to avoid such things happening again in the future.”
A chilling video showed maniac killer Espen Andersen Bråthen carrying out a bow and arrow attack at a Co-op Extra supermarket in a Norwegian town.
The 38-year-old killer was charged with five murders, 11 attempted murders and 13 counts of aggravated menace, committed on October 13 last year after he rioted in Kongsberg, 41 miles southwest of Oslo.
