WARNING – SOOTHING CONTENT: Binmen found two lower legs with feet still attached in a trash bag in the Lomas de Zamora area of Argentina on Thursday, June 9 and called the police
A woman who beat her husband to death and then asked her butchers’ sons to dismember his corpse admitted her crimes and said she did it because the man had sexually abused her daughter.
Astonished garbage collectors found two lower legs with feet still attached inside a garbage bag on a garbage heap in Lomas de Zamora, Argentina on Thursday, June 9.
Police were called and later found the dead man’s head in a bucket of cement in a creek after the killer enlisted the help of their sons, who both work as butchers, to dispose of the body.
Officers located suspect Laura Marcela Campos after investigating recent missing persons cases.
The 47-year-old admitted to beating her husband, reportedly Daniel Tomas Silvero, 56, to death during a heated argument.
His wife told police he was abusing their teenage daughter, and according to local media, Silvero faced a case in 2019 in which he allegedly raped the girl when she was 12.
After the two sons and the mother hacked the dead man to pieces, Campos hid his body parts across the city.
It was one of the victim’s daughters from a previous relationship – referred to only as Milagros in local media – who reported her father missing after receiving a strange message from his cell phone on Wednesday.
The message, which was unusually riddled with misspellings, told her he was moving and changing his phone number and was not looking for him.
Milagros also told police that her father had previously sent a letter to his first family, warning them that if anything happened to him, they should look for him at his current home.
He was last seen alive last Wednesday (June 1). At the time, Campos claimed he hadn’t returned from a day of fishing.
Another daughter, Daniela, said her father used to visit his former family every other day and he often complained that his now-wife beat him and took his money.
Police officers arrested Campos and her two sons, aged 27 and 21, on Friday (June 10).
Silvero was also allegedly reported to police for sexually abusing his own biological daughter – name not reported – in 2010.

This case was eventually archived.
Silvero and Campos had been married for two years.
When questioned by prosecutor Marcela Juan on Saturday, Campos admitted her guilt and claimed her late husband was a violent abuser.
She added that she cannot leave her daughter alone with him and that at least one of her sons must be present if she needs to be away from her.
Her sons have so far refused to speak.
