Rush has uploaded footage of his new record to his YouTube channel, which shows the 36-year-old blindfolded catching and throwing a beach ball.

May 2 (News) – Idaho’s David Rush has set another Guinness World Record – this time for most blind water polo passes in 30 seconds.

“Sometimes you have to perform, even if one of you is flying blind. Practice, give feedback, repeat,” Rush said on twitter.

The previous record was set at 16, with Rush surpassing it with 18 catches.

Rush noted on his website that Guinness requires the ball to hit hands only and that the ball must be lifted overhead to show it has been caught.

“It’s hard to judge how hard the record is until you’ve tried it yourself blindfolded. When will the ball come and where will it land? When do you squeeze your hands together to grab him? A split second too early and the ball just bounces off your hands and a split second too late and it hits you in the chest,” he said.

Rush is a serial Guinness World Record breaker and hopes to match his 250th record in 2022. He breaks records to advance STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education.

Rush recently recaptured a Guinness World Record title by balancing a chainsaw on his chin for 37 minutes and 56 seconds.
