The Deadly Weapon Steve Blackman was synonymous with his realistic in-ring style, once performing an elbow drop from about 30 feet off a steel stage set onto Shane McMahon

A wrestler who was a cult WWE fan favorite in the 1990s makes a rare appearance.

Known as Lethal Weapon at the height of his career, martial arts expert Steven Blackman was loved by fans for the realism he brought to WWE at the time – as well as his incredibly deadpan personality.

And now, 20 years after ending his full-time in-ring career, Blackman reemerged alongside the legendary Hardy Boys tag team at an MCW Pro Wrestling show in the United States.

Although he didn’t appear on the show, the six-time former WWE Hardcore Champion took some time out after the show to snap a photo with the newly united tag team.

All Elite Wrestling’s Matt Hardy posted the picture to Twitter and wrote: “Me and Jeff were so happy to meet Steve Blackman today.

“A really cool and badass guy who rarely appears in public these days.”

The 58-year-old was known for wearing simple black sweatpants as ring attire and he had jet black hair.

And fans on social media agreed that all the man – famous for using a kendo stick as a weapon – would need to return to his prime would be the trousers and some hair dye.

The bailiff, who was ranked number 70 of the top 500 wrestlers in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2001, seems to have defied aging.

One Twitter user wrote: “Blackman still has his hair done to perfection. Best/tightest flattop ever.”

And another wrote: “Steve Blackman could probably still kick all our favorite wrestlers butts.

“What a man.”
A sentiment echoed by another user, who tweeted: “Steve Blackman looks like he’s still swearing at everyone in the building (sic).”

Many fans also agreed that Blackman looked like he could still do well in the ring today, as AEW owner – and Fulham FC’s director of football operations – Tony Khan tweeted in a series of tweets asking for he was tagged man a chance.
