The 38-year-old teacher, who has taught at Point of Grace Christian School since 2018, was arrested after details of her illegal online relationship with a student became public

A teacher at a religious Christian school has been arrested after it was revealed she had “bombarded” one of her teenage students with sex texts.

Kindergarten teacher Julie Kinsey Hoover, 38, has been accused of having sex with a student.

Florida authorities got involved when their illegal online relationship became public.

Local news station WCTV reports that the woman teaches at a private school.

They said the teacher at a private school in North Florida was accused of texting an 18-year-old student about sex.

Police told the broadcaster Thursday (June 9) that the woman was arrested on Wednesday and charged with an authority figure who solicited or engaged in sex with a student.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office has made the first accounting records available online.

Thee Station said Hoover was a teacher at Point of Grace Christian School in Perry, WCTV reported.

According to court documents, the student’s mother contacted the sheriff’s office on June 2 after finding explicit text messages between Hoover and her son.

Investigators said the text messages were exchanged in March and April 2022, WCTV reported. At the time, the student was enrolled in more than one class taught by Hoover, the TV network reported.

Hoover was released on Thursday after posting bail of around £12,000, according to online booking records.

Officials at Point of Grace Christian School have not responded to requests for comment, WCTV reported.

Another news station, KKTV, reports that the mother had told the sheriff’s office that the married teacher appeared to be actively trying to get the teen to sneak into her home while her husband was at work.

According to the Women’s Linkedin page, she has been teaching at the school since 2018 and is a graduate of St. Leo University.

She was active on social media until yesterday (Sunday, June 12).

According to the school’s mission statement: “POGC’s aim is to train youth in the highest principles of moral character, self-discipline, personal responsibility, personal integrity and good citizenship. POGC, without apology, stands for high standards of morality and wisdom.”
