According to Guinness World Records, Zohaib Hussain, owner of Cardiff’s Zero Plus Fish Bar, wrapped five portions of fries – called ‘chips’ in the UK – in 40.13 seconds, setting the record for the fastest time to wrap five portions of fries by more broken than 4 seconds.

June 20 (News) — The owner of a fish and chip restaurant in Wales broke a Guinness World Record by wrapping five portions of fries in 40.13 seconds.

Hussain attempted the record at his restaurant on May 27, the UK’s National Fish and Chips Day.

“I’ve always been pretty fast, in a busy business you don’t have a choice,” Hussain told Guinness World Records. “Since I work in the store every day, I pack chips every day, so you can say I have 20 years of experience.”

Hussain’s parents bought the restaurant in 1991 and he took over the business after graduating from college. He has received awards including the 2009 Potato Councils Perfect Portion and the 2012 Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year.

“Prior to winning the Young Fish Frier of the Year competition, I had a documentary team follow my journey, which included me frying and eating fish and chips [His Royal Highness] Prince Charles,” Hussain said.
