Pixar announces release date and storyline for new animated film, Elemental

Elementary, which is based on director Peter Sohn’s childhood in New York, is slated for release on June 16, 2023. Produced by Denise Ream (The good dinosaur, cars 2), the animated feature follows two characters, Ember and Wade, who appear to be composed of opposing elements.

May 16 (News) – Pixar Animation Studios has released the first plot details and announced a release date for their upcoming 27th feature film. ElementaryOn Monday.

Set in a city where people of fire, water, land and air live together, the film follows Ember, a fiery young woman, and Wade, a water guy who goes with the flow, as they discover how much they have in common to have .

In addition to announcing the release date, Disney and Pixar also revealed concept art for the original film.

“My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and established a thriving grocery store in the Bronx,” Sohn said in a statement. “We were among many families who ventured into a new country with hopes and dreams—we all mingled in one big salad bowl of cultures, languages, and beautiful little neighborhoods. That’s what made me do it Elementary.

“Our story is based on the classic elements – fire, water, land and air. Some elements blend together, others don’t. What if these elements were alive?”
