PASADENA, CALIFORNIA. (KABC) — Employees at a Pasadena restaurant stepped in and attacked with a knife a man who was acting erratically and damaging businesses on the street.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. Monday on the 500 block of South Lake Avenue.
Police say a man with a knife acted oddly and once triggered a fire extinguisher at a store, causing an estimated $2,500 in damage.
Video from eyewitnesses shows three restaurant workers overpowering the man on the sidewalk – two of them holding his torso while a third sits on his legs.
Two officers soon arrived and took over, handcuffing the man and then arresting him.
According to the police, the man faces a charge of vandalism. He did not attack anyone with a knife.
