Former US President Bill Clinton has been admitted to a hospital in California.
Former US President Bill Clinton is in hospital. “Clinton was admitted to the UCI Medical Center on Tuesday evening (local time) to treat an infection,” Clinton’s spokesman Angel Urena wrote on Twitter on Thursday. The infection is not Covid-19.
Clinton is “on the mend” and “in good shape”. Urena went on to say that he was grateful for the doctors, nurses and staff who “provide excellent care” for him.
The broadcaster CNN had previously reported that Clinton had been admitted with a suspected blood infection and was in intensive care to protect his privacy. His condition is unrelated to his previous heart problems or Covid-19, according to CNN.
