The NHS Covid Pass app has stopped working, so thousands of travelers may not be able to see their vaccine status.
The feature indicating the vaccination doses received by a person is required by people planning to travel abroad to prove their vaccination against the virus.
Users reported that an error message was displayed on the NHS smartphone app on Wednesday afternoon stating that the high demand was “restricting access to the service”.
In response to the problem, NHS digital said in a statement: “There are currently problems accessing the Covid Pass on the NHS app and website. We are investigating the problem and will update it as soon as possible. “
Vacationers complained about the outage on Twitter, with a man claiming he missed his flight because of the problem. Others scheduled to fly this week called the situation “stressful”.
