LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s eldest daughter, Natalia, filed a request for a preliminary injunction in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging that a 32-year-old man with a criminal history has been stalking her since she was a minor.
Sun Valley’s Dwayne Kemp is accused of trying to contact Bryant, 19, to “express his unrequited love for her”.
“Defendant began his one-way communication with Ms. Bryant via social media as early as 2020, when Ms. Bryant was a minor and the defendant was approximately 30 years old,” according to a court document obtained by Eyewitness News. “According to Ms. Bryant, Defendant’s amorous advances were not well received and she did not interact with Defendant.”
The document alleges the alleged stalker’s actions have escalated from social media harassment to attempts to contact Bryant at her school and where she lives.
“Ms. Bryant, her family and law enforcement are scared and concerned for her safety,” the document said.
The court document states that Kemp sent a direct message to Bryant on social media in July 2021, stating that he hopes “that he and wife Bryant can have a Kobe-like child together.”
The court document contains other messages of a similar nature allegedly sent by Kemp, including an Oct. 22 message that read, “I love you and I’m sorry. Can we talk and do our makeup so we can be friends again…?”
