Tragedy in Florida: A two-year-old child accidentally shot and killed his mother, who was attending a video conference. Now the father has to answer in court.

US authorities have arrested the father of a two-year-old toddler who shot his own mother in a tragic accident in August. The 22-year-old is accused of not having kept the firearm safe, the police and prosecutor in the state of Florida announced on Wednesday (local time). The child’s 21-year-old mother took part in a video conference during the accident on August 11th.

According to the announcement, no date has yet been set for the start of the procedure. According to the announcement, the father had loaded the pistol and stored it in a child’s backpack with the safety off.

The newspaper “Orlando Sentinel” quoted an emergency call from a work colleague of the mother: “One of the girls passed out, she was bleeding. Her camera is on, her baby is crying in the background.” The father was not at home at the time of the accident. In a second emergency call, he asked the rescue workers to “hurry up”. When the police arrived, the officers found the man trying to resuscitate his girlfriend. Emergency doctors determined the death shortly afterwards.

There have been recurring firearm-related fatalities in the United States. In late September, a two-year-old accidentally killed himself in Texas after finding a loaded gun in a relative’s backpack.
