EXCLUSIVE: Lady Colin Campbell claims that the Duchess of Sussex’s appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show is part of a “strategy” to make her the most “royal covered” in the world

Lady Colin Campbell has said that Meghan Markle’s recent TV appearance is more than just a standard interview with longtime friend Ellen DeGeneres.

The interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which will air tonight (Thursday, November 18) at 8 p.m. UK time, could cause a stir, much like Prince Harry and Meghan’s joint interview with Oprah earlier this year.

And Lady C said that this is all part of a “strategy” for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Speaking exclusively to the Latest Page News’s Kurt Robson, she said, “Without a doubt, it’s a strategy.

“Your strategy is to make yourself the most entered royal in the world.

“That is her strategy and she achieved it.”

The celebrity joined a growing number of royal insiders as they shared their thoughts on the interview, which was sure to be explosive.

This morning Gertrude Daly, a royal commentator and podcaster, had claimed that Meghan might try to use the interview to bring up the ongoing court case with her father, but she advised her “not to talk about it and keep things positive” . .

Daly told the Latest Page News, “Meghan could try using the Ellen interview to address the legal process and some of the things revealed in the news and emails published.

“I see this more as Prince Harry’s James Corden interview. Mostly positive, carefree and funny.

“There can be a little bit of serious, negative things.

“But hopefully the comments about the royals will sound more like ‘Archie got a waffle iron from the queen’ than ‘the royal family is racist’.”

The interview has already aired in the US and part of it has already come to light on social media.

A clip shows the Duchess of Sussex talking about her daughter Lilibet, who has started teething.

She admitted “looking for something to alleviate her daughter’s struggles,” to which the 60-year-old hostess replied, “Tequlia, everything.”

The couple have been close friends for many years, which is why Meghan appears on the show – as part of Ellen’s last series of the iconic talk show.
