Man who died after an attack in Dalry has been named by police for treating death as murder

One man who died after an attack in Dalry was named by the police.

Sean McKay died on Sunday October 10th after an incident on St. Margaret’s Avenue in Dalry.

The 23-year-old was attacked on the street at around 9:05 p.m.

After an autopsy, the officers treat his death as murder.

Detective Inspector Stephen McCulloch said, “Our priority is to find the person responsible for this crime as soon as possible and to do that we need the help of the community.

“Please contact the officials on 101, quoting the reference number 3404 from Sunday 10 October 2021.

“Regarding this incident and the severe attack on Peden Avenue, Dalry on Saturday night, as a result of an extensive and ongoing investigation in the area, we have positive lines of investigation into every incident.

“We can confirm that while the incidents are not directly related, we are continuing the investigation to determine the full circumstances.”
