Look for “Night Blinker” targeting older women in their homes

The man is believed to have first struck in North Dagenham at around 10.15pm on Tuesday 3 January before targeting a property on Mayesbrook Road just after 11pm.

Police believe he committed similar crimes in the same area throughout the night.

He is also believed to have been looking through windows and knocking on doors, as well as acting suspiciously on Lilliechurch Road.

Police said the man wore dark clothing and a black crash helmet and was riding a dark-colored motorcycle or moped in all incidents.

Detective Constable Sky Mulvey of the East Area Command Unit said: “These incidents have been very distressing for the victims and we are committed to bringing the individual responsible to justice quickly.

“We are very interested in receiving any information, CCTV or door camera/doorbell footage related to the incidents. If you know who this man is, please contact us or Crimestoppers anonymously as a matter of urgency.”
