Brazilian influencer Ellen Milgrau is known for her modeling and cheeky Instagram pics – but the 29-year-old also volunteers as a specialist cleaner, cleaning the toilets of people with depression
A beautiful model has revealed that there’s nothing she loves more than getting dirty – as a cleaner, tackling the jobs other domestic workers don’t.
Brazilian influencer Ellen Milgrau, 29, volunteers as a specialist cleaner to deep clean the homes of people suffering from depression.
That means she’s faced cockroach infestations, maggots living in unwashed pans, dirty toilets, and houses otherwise unsuitable for humans.
But now she’s cleaning up on social media, where her videos of her transformations have racked up more than 30 million social media views.
Ellen explained, “Sometimes the person can’t even get up to shower.
“There are situations where it’s not even fair to call a cleaner because the dirt is so bad.”
Ellen started posting videos of herself on TikTok in early March, cleaning up people’s homes.
It quickly went viral and has amassed more than 30 million views to date.
Her project is called Faxina Milgrau (Milgrau Putzen) and is inspired by her tidying up habit since childhood.
She said, “It’s like life only works if the house is clean.”
Ellen’s project began when a depressed friend was struggling to keep his house clean.
She said: “It allows me to get out of my comfort zone and also show a side of me that a lot of people don’t have a clue about.
“They think because I’m a model, I’m untouchable or I was born rich. I’m none of that. I wasn’t born rich or an heiress.”
Ellen’s videos are directed by her friend Lua Rodrigues. She says she will not receive any funding for the time being.
As such, the two only take over one house a week and have not ventured out of Sao Paulo to date.
Ellen shared the most moving story she has encountered – that of a 21-year-old woman living alone and suffering from severe depression.

She said: “It was a very precarious situation. Completely abandoned by her family after losing a loved one, she had no friends and lived in Sao Paulo.
“It really touched me.”
Ellen said the young woman hadn’t cleaned her house in ten months. Garbage everywhere and lots of cockroaches.
She said in her video: “There was a moment during the clean up when she broke down, started crying, felt guilty and was very ashamed that we were doing this for her.
“But we explained it to her, we accepted her and everything went well, she was very happy.”
