Huge fire as a bus is set ablaze on a residential street in east London

No injuries have been reported in connection with the fire on Wilton Way in Hackney, the London Fire Brigade has confirmed.

The fire service received 42 calls about the incident, causing nearby road closures.

An LFB statement said: “A 30-seat bus was damaged by fire. Six other vehicles and a small portion of several surrounding properties were also damaged by the fire.

“All passengers had exited the vehicle before the brigade arrived. There were no reports of injuries.”

Firefighters were called at 8:13 a.m. and had the fire under control in just over an hour.
