A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death outside a school in front of his classmates.
The 15-year-old was stabbed about 150 meters from North Huddersfield School Trust in West Yorkshire yesterday afternoon.
The teenager was arrested just before 5am this morning at an address in Huddersfield, West Yorks.
He remains in custody pending an investigation led by investigators from the West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Inquiry Team.
A chicane crossing was cordoned off and an evidence bag could still be seen at the scene this morning.
There was only a lone bouquet of flowers at the crime scene and a note that read, “May you fly with the angels.” RIP.

Afiya Mahmood, 39, who lives nearby, said she works from home and hasn’t heard anything.
But she was made aware of the incident by her husband and kept an eye out for the tragic consequences of the incident.
Tearing near the scene, she said: “I ran upstairs and saw the police and paramedics working on him.
