Homicides, suicides from guns increased 35% in 2020, CDC reports

The number of firearm homicides in the United States rose 35% in 2020, the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to 2019, according to data released Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .
