According to a media report, a new evacuation flight with people from Afghanistan is expected in Germany on Thursday evening. As the newspapers of the Funke media group reported, citing information from government circles, the plane was supposed to land in Leipzig around 9 p.m. Accordingly, there are 219 people who have flown from Afghanistan on board.
Of these, 21 people should travel to other EU countries. According to the report, the machine comes from Islamabad, Pakistan. The people who were flown out were former members of the Bundeswehr and other institutions, as well as other Afghans who had received an acceptance letter for humanitarian reasons.
On Monday, the Federal Ministry of the Interior put the total number of people who had been brought to Germany because the radical Islamic Taliban came to power in Afghanistan at around 6,100.
