Bishop Climate Wiseman, 47, argued on Friday that the mixture was a cure “because nobody who used it died from Covid 19”.

He was found guilty of fraud in December for claiming the hyssop, cedarwood and olive oil kit would keep people from “dropping dead”.

“They were all cured,” he told Latest Page News London outside Inner London Crown Court as he denied being a cheater. “I am a man of God.”

The bishop has a loyal following, whom he encouraged to buy the product made with “special ingredients from the Bible.”

As leader of the Kingdom Church in Camberwell, south London, he said he had had a visitation from God and told the jury at his trial at Inner London Crown Court that he had worked miracles in the past.

“How can you say it’s false hope?” he said. “It’s obvious. The reason my conscience is clear, I’ve never benefited from a single dime – I was just offering the solution.”

When Latest Page News’ Daniel Henry suggested that cedarwood oil couldn’t cure Covid, he replied: “How do you know?”

The healing is not only in the basic ingredients, but also “in the power of God” contained in the blends, he said.

Also known as Dr. Climate Wiseman and Climate Irungu, were investigated against him and his church in 2016 for offering for sale an oil believed to cure cancer, but no charges were brought after the product was withdrawn.

Southwark Trading Standards was made aware of its Covid scam on March 24, 2020 – a day after the country was thrown into a nationwide lockdown.

Wiseman, from Camberwell, south London, was due to be convicted of fraud on Friday but will return to Inner London Crown Court for sentencing on February 1.
