Colorado Parks and Wildlife confirmed officials removed a cub black bear from a tree on the CSU Oval in Fort Collins around 10:30 a.m

16 Sep (News) — State wildlife officials responded to the Colorado State University campus Friday when a bear wandered onto campus and climbed a tree.

School officials had warned students to avoid the area about two hours earlier because of the bear’s presence.

Wildlife officers said the bear would be relocated to a mountainous area.

The bear was the second to visit the school’s campus in a month. CSU police and security said in a Facebook post in late August that a bear had wandered into the south campus area. Police worked with wildlife officials to capture and relocate the bruin.
