Nov 24 (News) — An arrest warrant will be issued for a friend of Shanquella Robinson, a 25-year-old woman who was found dead while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas in October.

Mexican prosecutors say Robinson’s death was the result of a “direct assault” involving one of her friends, according to CNN. Robinson was on vacation with six friends and arrived in Cabo on October 28th. She was found dead in a holiday apartment on October 29, her father Bernard Robinson said.

“This case is fully resolved, we even have a court order, there is an arrest warrant for the crime of femicide against the victim and against an alleged perpetrator, a friend of hers who is the direct aggressor,” said Daniel de la Rosa Anaya , Baja California Sur State Attorney, according to ABC News.

“Actually, it wasn’t an argument, but direct aggression.”

In order to enforce the arrest warrant, the person concerned must be extradited from the United States.

The case is also under investigation by the FBI, its North Carolina field office told The Hill. No further details about the agency’s investigation are known at this time.

According to Robinson’s death certificate, she died about 15 minutes after sustaining an injury. A doctor was called to the Linda 32 mansion and found Robinson intoxicated. She could not speak, but her vital signs were stable.

Robinson’s friends returned to Charlotte and informed her family that she had died of alcohol poisoning, but this was not mentioned on her death certificate. Her cause of death was listed as severe spinal cord injury and atlas subluxation complex, which occurs when a person’s upper neck bone becomes out of alignment and causes nervous system dysfunction.

“It’s like a nightmare. I can’t even sleep. I’m just frustrated. My heart aches like a father. A praying man,” Bernard Robinson told the WSOC. “I just want some truth because that doesn’t quite add up.”
