A shark has scared everyone off a beach in Cala Mondragó, Mallorca, when it appeared to be swimming in circles a stone’s throw from the sand after being washed in by the swell

A shark startled beachgoers at Mallorca’s tourist hotspot when it lurked in the shallows.

The lifeguard on duty ordered everyone sunbathing at Cala Mondragó to stay away from the water as fins could be seen clipping through the surface of the water.

Panic set in shortly after as the predator stayed just meters from the sand and at one point swam unbearably close to someone who was filming its movements.

Witnesses claim they were joined on shore by what appeared to be a blue shark nearly 5 feet long.

After a period of swimming in circles in a likely state of disorientation, the shark eventually returned to deeper waters without incident.

Apparently, the animal was washed into the bay on the south coast of Mallorca by a strong swell around the Spanish Balearic island.

Footage captured with a phone shows the shark swimming seemingly aimlessly across the beach.

An eight-year-old boy survived a shark attack after punching the predator in the face.

Napat Chaiyarak Christenko was swimming in the sea with his Ukrainian father when the creature swooped down on the island of Phuket in southern Thailand.

The boy cried out in pain before attempting to push the wild sea creature away.

He then reached down and hit his head with it, Napat told Kamala district police.

Staff who opened Thursday morning at Ponte Vedra High School in St. Johns County, Fla., were also faced with the grisly sight of a dead shark hanging from the schoolyard’s rafters.

The sea robber, which appeared gutted and kept in a freezer before being hung, is believed to have been placed there by five students who created their somber “art installation” around 9pm on Wednesday night.

Ponte Vedra High School’s mascot is a shark, which could partially explain the thinking behind the bizarre act.
