Clients can refer up to 20 people which equals £400

New customers who have been referred to Chase and have deposited at least £20 into their account within 30 days will also receive £20.

Digital bank Chase today launched a refer-a-friend offer, rewarding existing customers with £20 if they successfully refer family and friends to open a Chase checking account.

Customers can pull their unique referral link from within the Chase app to share with family and friends.

With many customers already making the most of Chase’s daily rewards program, the new initiative will help customers easily share and recommend the Chase account.

To make a referral, first open the Chase app, go to Rewards, and tap the Refer a Friend tile.

Activate the offer by clicking Get Started, then share the referral link with friends

You must join Chase via your link and deposit £20 within 30 days of opening an account. Chase will then add £20 to your rewards balance, and hers too.

Deborah Keay, Chase UK Chief Marketing Officer, said: “The new refer-a-friend offer is just a small token from us to reward our customers and make it easy for them to share the Chase experience and recommend it to their family and friends .

“With our new refer-a-friend offer and the recent launch of the Chase Saver, customers who bank with Chase can enjoy one of the most competitive checking accounts available.”

Chase recently introduced a new savings option with a competitive interest rate of 1.5 percent plus 1 percent cashback on daily debit card spend and 5 percent interest on change rounds.

Customers can open a current account via the app in just a few minutes.

The bank, which is part of US giant JP Morgan, launched in the UK last September.

The current account offers a fee-free debit card abroad, so you won’t be charged for using the card while travelling, including for cash withdrawals from ATMs.

There is also currently no minimum income to open an account.

However, customers need to be tech savvy as you need a smartphone to keep the account.
