Adele has continued her comeback by partnering with Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive two-hour interview where she talked about divorce, weight loss, and her son.

In the same rose garden where Harry and Meghan gave their televised Oprah interview earlier this year, the Tottenham-born star delivered a CBS special called Adele only one night to release the long-awaited fourth album, Jan.

She has conducted numerous interviews to promote her new single “Easy on Me”, which was released in October and sparked great anticipation for the album.

Beyond the music, however, in this exclusive narrative – which aired on CBS in the United States on Sunday – Adele spoke openly about a tumultuous time in her life and new chapters for the 33-year-old.

Adele spoke about feeling “embarrassed” and “disappointed” for herself and her son Angelo after her painful divorce from Simon Konecki in 2019.

She added, “I ignored my own happiness … and I knew that, as an adult, Angelo would be mad at me if I did that.

“When he grew up he was mad at me and I didn’t want that either.”

The Grammy-winning star also talked about her desire to have a nuclear family from a young age, due to the fact that she did not come from a nuclear family herself.

She said, “I made a promise to myself that when I had kids we’d stay together and be this family united, and I’ve tried a really long time.

“I was just so disappointed in my son, I was disappointed in myself.”

Adele, who surprised the world when she posted a picture of her slimmer figure on Instagram in 2020, also spoke about her dramatic weight loss after her divorce from Konecki.

She said to Oprah, “I’ve never looked up to anyone, because of their weight I am body positive then and now I am body positive.”

The singer also lifted the lid on her love life and talked about dating sports agent Rich Paul.

She explained how she met him at a party, then said, “He’s just hilarious. Oh he’s so funny. Yes, and very smart. “

The US was fortunate to have the full interview aired on CBS on Sunday, November 14th at 8:30 p.m. EST.

US viewers can also access the full interview by streaming it on Paramount +.

However, there is still no indication of when the exclusive Tell All will hit UK TV channels.

But when you consider that a large chunk of their fan base is based in the UK, there is hope that Only one night will soon reach our living rooms.

While British viewers wait for the Oprah interview to appear on their screens, Adele has given the British a special show called An Audience with Adele.

The one-off concert was recorded at the Legendary London Palladium, where she took center stage and performed many of our favorite hits in front of an audience of friends, family and fans.

It will be broadcast on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 8 p.m. ITV.

The highly anticipated album will be released on November 19, 2021.

Adele explained to Oprah that the album serves as a message to her young son Angelo, covering the aftermath of her divorce from Konecki in 2019 and how it led to a tumultuous period in her life.
