The Voice champ welcomes first child with wife

Jake Hoot, season 17 champion of NBC’s The Voice, has welcomed his first child with his wife Brittney. Hoot has a daughter, Macy, from a previous relationship.

The couple announced the birth of their daughter on July 31, 2022 on Instagram.

“Well, we did a thing last week!” Jake wrote. “World, meet little Miss Madilyn Bri. We couldn’t be more in love😍 #girldad #ladiesman #mybaby #ilovemygirls.”

Brittney also announced the birth of Madilyn on Instagram.

“A week ago today I experienced the greatest miracle of my life!” she wrote. “We welcomed our ‘Little Feet’ into the world and couldn’t be more in love with her.”

She added: “She is the most beautiful thing I have ever known. I never thought my ability to love someone could get so deep and so profound. Everyone meets our little angel. She is more than we ever dreamed of. We love you so much little angel and can’t believe we will love you forever!”

She added that Madilyn was born on July 24, 2022 at 3:30 a.m., weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long.

“She’s more than we ever dreamed of,” she added. “We love you so much our little angel and can’t believe we will love you forever!”

Friends took to the comments on Hoot’s post about the baby.

“Congratulations!” The Voice winner Jake Hoot wrote.

“Such great congratulations,” wrote Pete Mroz.

The couple announced they are expecting a baby in March 2022 on Instagram. The announcement came in the form of a video showing Hoot’s daughter from a previous relationship, Macy, and his wife holding up signs announcing the news.

The signs held by Hoot’s daughter read, “Life was sweet, YOU made it sweeter. Life was complete, YOU made it complete+, we didn’t know how much we need you.”

The last sign held up by Hoot’s wife read, “Baby Hoot Coming Soon 2022.”

Friends and fans took to the comments section to share their excitement for the family.

Also in March 2022, Hoot performed at the “Opry Country Classics” for the Grand Ole Opry.

“I went back to @opry this Thursday for my first Opry Country Classics show!” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I can’t wait to sing some great classics for you all.”

During his time on The Voice, Hoot was part of Kelly Clarkson’s team. Following their time together on the show, they released a duet titled “I Would’ve Loved You,” which amazed fans.

For the music video for their song, Clarkson and Hoot teamed up for the emotional video.

The music video showcases the elegance of the Los Angeles Wiltern Theater from the back of the house to the front of the house.

“More than forever, always, insane / the deepest, unforgettable / with all that I am / with a wide open heart / for the rest of my life I promise you / I will hate you for as long and as much as I would me.” loved you/and i would have loved you,” the pair sing at one point in the song.

The Voice is slated to return to NBC in fall 2022. The season will be accompanied by coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and John Legend.
