It will be open during the warmer months

The Cocktail Mafia, with its neon horse-head sign, opened on Edinburgh’s Charlotte Lane back in December 2021.

Now the West End bar is bringing its theatrical cocktails to Harvey Nichols, with a new pop-up launching in June.

Marc Henry, Hospitality Manager Forth Floor at Edinburgh Department Store says; “We are delighted to welcome The Cocktail Mafia to the Forth Floor as we toast the start of summer in Edinburgh. Now foodies and cocktail connoisseurs have another reason to visit. With an incredible team of inventive and creative mixologists, we have no doubt the bar will prove popular with our customers.”

Their summer destination seats 30 and sits between the brasserie and wine shop, on the site where the Chocolate Lounge and Hendrick’s pop-up used to be.

Nick Madigan, Managing Director of Pinnacle Hospitality, which owns both The Cocktail Mafia and The Raging Bull on Lothian Road, says: “We are delighted to open our summertime pop-up at Harvey Nichols. The team worked hard on the menu to bring a slice of The Cocktail Mafia to shoppers and visitors across town.”

To match their new location, they have designed a summer menu that includes the existing bar’s bestsellers such as Pinky & the Brain, which they describe as ‘fresh, vibrant, floral’ and featuring Darnley’s gin, St Germain, lime, raspberries, cucumber and aquafaba . In a similar seasonal theme, there’s Mangoes for a Tropical Vacation, featuring a blend of Deadman’s Fingers Rum, Bacardi Carta Negra, Adriatico Orgeat, Lime Sorbet, Mango, Orange, and Tiki Bitters.

However, they have also designed a few exclusive pieces for Harvey Nichols. These are the Peach and Pomelo Spritz, which is a zesty twist on a classic spritz, and Watermelon Tommy, featuring El Sueno Watermelon tequila, lime, watermelon, and agave.

While the Miami-themed interior of Ja!Coco! which is also responsible for Porty Slice and Superico Bar & Lounge, among other food and drink destinations in the capital, the ‘sophisticated’ look of this temporary space was created by local designer Golnar Mattot.

From next month they will be open from Thursday to Sunday from 12pm to 6pm.
