Dog the Bounty Hunter devised a scenario in which Brian Laundrie could have killed Gabby Petito while trying to “calm her down”.
Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman has sparked outrage over recent comments he made about Brian Laundrie, who is a “person of interest” in Gabby Petito’s death and disappearance.
MEAWW previously reported how the reality TV star compared 23-year-old Laundrie to wife murderer Scott Peterson. We also reported how Chapman concluded that Petito’s reported strangulation was not an accident. However, the bounty hunter is now facing quite a backlash for apparently calling Laundrie “a gentleman”.

In an interview with The Sun, Chapman portrayed a scenario in which Laundrie may have killed Petito in an accident and desperately called his parents to find out what to do. “Of course he murdered her,” said the bounty hunter. “I think he called mom and dad right from the scene and said ‘omg’. Now we have to remember that they – Gabby and Brian – lived with his mother and father for almost two years. And the house, I was there, It’s not a huge house so I’m sure you heard it, the parents probably heard Gabby scream. “
“I was told by a very close source that he was a gentleman,” Dog said of Laundrie. “I think he said, ‘Mom, she screamed, she screamed so I put my hand on her mouth and I held my hand and she screamed and when I took it away she wasn’t breathing and I tried CPR. ‘ . “
During the interview, Chapman mentioned that Petito was very “loud” and “verbal” which, along with his comments on Laundrie, sounded like blame to many. “I know she was very verbal because once they were arguing, vacationers around them heard them screaming,” Chapman told The Sun, referring to a domestic incident that took place outside of the Moonflower co-op in Moab, Utah, in which a witness alleged that Laundrie hit Petito during an argument. Laundrie can be seen in police bodycam footage that reveals to the responding officers that he grabbed her face and pushed her away to calm her down.
While the bounty hunter probably didn’t want to cause a stir with his comments, social media has been inundated with criticism of him and his independent pursuit of the missing fugitive. “My dog knows as much about it as he does! wrote a Twitter user. “You are wrong. Laundrie is a very dangerous and calculating psychopath. You have to go back to Hawaii.
“He wasn’t a gentleman. Check the police camera and she kept putting her hands on the back of her neck when asked what happened,” it said in a comment. “Did @DogBountyHunter actually blame victim #Gabby for her screaming leading to #BrianLaundrie murdering her?!? Did he actually call Brian a” gentleman “?!?!? WTH !! Why is Dog anyway involved. There is no bounty on Brian! Stay out of this !! Let the #FBI do its job! ” another answered.
“Is #DogBountyHunter crazy to call Brian Laundrie a gentleman and basically condone the way he could calm Gabby by cruelly gripping and squeezing her face? Who gives this idiot a platform to speak? He’s repulsive. ”Added a user.
