Photo: DWTS Pro Cheryl Burke shares childhood memories

Professional “Dancing With the Stars” dancer Cheryl Burke took to Instagram to share a throwback to her childhood in light of her birthday.

In the picture, Burke is a child riding in a field.

“37 what a ride!” she wrote. “As you all know, this has been a year of growth and changes in my life. As I approach 38, I’m learning to let go of the reins and trust this life process. . I know I won’t be perfect at it, but at least I’m slowly learning how to find more peace in my life. I am especially grateful for the people in my life who have been by my side and have taught me so much over the past year. To a New Year! 🎉🎈”

Burke shared that she knows people have been “invested” in her life.

“As many of you have taken a keen interest in some of the changes in my life that have happened to me over the past year, I’m back in the podcast game with even more to share,” Burke wrote, adding that she made a new one Podcast titled Burke in the Game with IHeartRadio.

She added: “All I know is I’m f*** scared and this is going to be an interesting ride that I might regret agreeing to down the line… ha! As a birthday present for me, check out my podcast today and hit the subscribe button for me. Thanks in advance.”

People wished her a happy birthday in the comments section including Hayley Erbert, Kimberly Snyder and Kelly Mili.

“Happy Birthday @cherylburke I admire you for being such a driven woman to make things happen,” one fan wrote. “You are amazing and I’m so glad we get to work together.”

Another person wrote: “So proud of you beautiful 😍🔥❤️ the world needs the gift that you are. Happy Birthday.”

Burke has dealt with personal issues, including her divorce from Matthew Lawrence. In February 2022, she filed for divorce.

“Just wanted to jump in here and give you an update, it’s been one hell of a ride,” the 37-year-old professional dancer shared, before discussing her journey with meditation and therapy.

She shared that being forced to open up about things, including how she treats her, made her feel vulnerable

“I have to learn now to give myself grace and not judge my feelings. It was a lot and I learned that I don’t have to throw tantrums like a kid, but I also realized that it shows for me that I’m growing and that I’m open to feelings,” Burke said during the drive.

After Burke posted the video, fans took to the comments section to share their support.

“Sending you lots of love Cheryl,” one person commented.

Another said they were praying for her.

“Sending you lots of positive vibes and good thoughts,” reads another comment.

Dancing With the Stars returns to a new home in Fall 2022. The show will now air live exclusively on Disney+ instead of ABC.
