YOU can skip the tailor—a smart woman shared a way to add a built-in belt to your jeans.

It’s the perfect hack for denim that always seems to slide down and is a bit too big around the waist.

It will help you tighten loose jeans[/caption]

“Lifehack for jeans that are too big around the waist,” content creator Abby wrote in a social media video.

Wearing a pair of loose-fitting jeans, she instructed viewers to use scissors to make a hole on either side of her jeans — one near the button and one near the buttonhole.

Next, Abby told her to thread a shoelace through the holes and tie it as tight as you need it.

A loop should be made to hold the lace in place and it should be tucked into the jeans.

By the time Abby was done, her jeans were no longer loose and fit her well.

The people in the comments section of Abby’s video were super grateful for the tip.

“No this is so good because almost all my jeans are big in the waist,” one person wrote.

“THANK YOU,” said a second.

“OMG THANK YOU SM.”

“You are awesome, thank you sm. I had loads of jeans I wanted to take to the charity shop because they are too big and I’m going to try these first!!”

“Omggg tyyy,” said one final person.
