“Getting back to porn, I just don’t think it’s any good for anyone if they make it illegal,” Lana Rhoades said

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Former porn star and fashion designer Lana Rhoades explicitly states that she is “asexual” and wants porn to be “illegal.” Rhoades, 26, has been very vocal since she left the adult film industry just eight months after entering the industry at the age of 19.

Rhoades, who gave birth to her first child in January 2022, opened up about her career as a porn star during an appearance on The Skinny Confidential podcast. She stated, “I don’t think it’s helpful to anyone,” citing the stark contrast between her pre-porn and post-porn perceptions. She claimed that she had no idea what she was getting into when she first started doing porn, saying, “I had also only slept with one person at that point. So I was very inexperienced sexually.”

Rhoades continued, “That’s why, for whatever reason, I never understood that if you love doing porn, you have to actually have sex with people. It’s just the idea, oh okay, I’ll be like Anna Nicole Smith or I’ll be like Holly Madison or that person was like an idea in my head but I wasn’t mature enough to see what was actually in it stuck. And very, very quickly I realized that this is not for me.

Unfortunately, Rhoades soon understood that porn was a “job” and that she had no control over who she had sex with. “I mean, essentially, you have to have sex with people that you didn’t want to have sex with, that you might not find attractive, you might actually find them gross, and you have to have sex with them because it’s your job” , she said.

Rhoades went on to say that she believes the industry puts young women in a precarious position: “How should a 19-year-old girl be put in that position when she has to have sex with people who aren’t really touching her want her body at all.” She began creating lingerie and apparel after her stint in adult films and has successfully maintained her financial status.

However, Rhoades has a fairly unified stance on the adult film industry, saying, “Coming back to porn, I just don’t think it’s any good for anyone if they make it illegal.” She admitted that she “doesn’t find people attractive.” or frequently “clingy,” and she said, “To be honest, I’m pretty asexual.”

Rhoades said: “Pretty much like I never meet people, I don’t find people attractive, and I’ve always been like there’s no change after doing porn. Rhoades went on to warn that making it work was not the norm for a lot of people and the experience of other girls she knew meant their videos were on the internet for their family to see that they weren’t making any money.”

Rhoades began a new phase in her life after retiring from the adult film industry. Since then, she has amassed a sizable following on a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram. She revealed on Barstool’s BFFs podcast that she became a multi-millionaire after quitting the adult film profession during a financial debate.
