Lala Kent has revealed her wedding dress.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star shared throwback photos of the dress she was supposed to wear for her wedding, which didn’t happen.
Lala and her fiancé Randall Emmett were due to get married in April 2020, but they canceled their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But days before the world went into quarantine, Lala went to her very first wedding dress try-on at an upscale bridal boutique.
In a new post on her Instagram page, Lala announced that she was finally ready to share photos of the dress she was not allowed to wear. In a photo series that was taken in the bridal shop, the author of “Give Them Lala” posed in a long-sleeved dress and a traditional veil.
In the caption for her post, Lala revealed that the dress was bespoke by her stylist Alexandra Renee Scott and luxury bridal brand Pronovias. The bespoke dress was a poignant tribute to Lala’s late father, Kent Burningham.
“I wanted to share my wedding dress, which I would wear on April 18, 2020,” Lala captioned the photos. “This dress was bespoke by Alex & @pronovias. Alex surprised me with ‘Dad’ written in a heart that would be on my veil. This was the very first adjustment. 3 days later the nation was banned due to COVID-19. “
Lala’s post received a huge response from fans and celebrity friends, including several past and current “Vanderpump Rules” stars.
“Fit for a freaking queen,” wrote Stassi Schroeder in the comment section.
“Nice nice dress !!” added the future bride Raquel Leviss. “I love the custom embroidery details that should be on the veil. So useful and special. I’m sorry you had to cancel your wedding. I can’t even imagine the stress that you had. “
Former Vanderpump Rules star Brittany Cartwright also responded to the post with a series of heart-and-eye emojis.
Other fans have also opted for the dress, with one fan account comparing Lala to Disney Princess Aurora.
Fans may remember that Lala posted teaser photos while shopping for a wedding dress in early 2020. According to BravoTV.com, she even shared social media photos from the Pronovias showroom in March 2020.
After Lala and Randall canceled their wedding, the Vanderpump Rules star told the Node, “We both shed many tears about our wedding being postponed again and again. But we also feel blessed that postponing the wedding does that The worst of our COVID experience was. “
Lala also swore that the wedding would still take place.
“We’ve been together for five years; we’re not going anywhere, ”she said. “Our wedding will take place when it is right. At the moment we only wish everyone’s health and safety. “
While the wedding was postponed indefinitely after two more dates were also postponed, Lala and her fiancé welcomed their first baby together, a daughter named Ocean Kent Emmett, in March 2021.
During an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show” in May 2021, Lala gave an update on her wedding plans. She said she and Randall just want to “be in a relationship we want to be”.
“I don’t want him ever to feel stuck because we signed the thing or I feel like I’m stuck because we signed the thing,” she explained. “I want that anytime he is over it or I am over it, we can just say that we have a beautiful daughter together and just split up. I’ve seen some dirty divorces and they’ll scar you. “
“We’re in no rush to get married,” added Lala. “We may or may not.”
But in a Q&A with fans, Lala later announced that she plans to tie the knot with Randall in 2022 on BravoTV.com
