Kim Kardashian has been slammed for “pushing unhealthy body ideals” after admitting she lost 16 pounds (pounds) in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s iconic $5 million gown at Monday night’s Met Gala , with actress Lili Reinhart reportedly blasting the reality star over it. And now Kim’s fitness trainer has defended her weight loss strategy.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted after the Met Gala, ‘Riverdale’ actress Lili Reinhart appeared to call out to Kim Kardashian, saying her “ignorance is unworldly and obnoxious.” Reinhart was just one of many people who were disgusted by the lengths Kim went to just to fit into the iconic dress. Reinhart wrote on her Instagram Story, “To walk down a red carpet and do an interview where she says how hungry you are because you haven’t eaten carbs in the last month… anything to put in a f***ing dress.” fit?” She continued, “So wrong. So damn on hundreds of levels. To openly admit to starving myself for the Met Gala. When you knew very well that millions of young men and women look up to you and listen to your every word.”

After Reinhart and other people pointed out the “toxic” weight-loss strategy, Kim’s fitness trainer spoke out in her defense. Kim’s personal trainer Don “DB” Brooks, aka DON-A-MATRIX, has explained that the 41-year-old SKIMS magnate has been losing weight healthily and not starving herself. “I think one of the misconceptions people have about Kim is that she works really hard, right?” The Los Angeles-based fitness trainer told TMZ on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. But then the second thing was that she was in the gym and putting the work into it.

Brooks was asked if the reality star’s approach was harmful, and he replied, “No, not at all. Not from my side and from what I’ve seen. I mean, we used to work out twice a day sometimes.” He was asked if it was possible to lose 16 pounds in a healthy way, to which he replied, “Yes, it’s possible to lose 20 pounds in a healthy way.” Eventually, he was Asked what he would say to the 25-year-old actress Kim had beaten up, he responded with a laugh and said, “Come down and watch The Matrix.”
